The School of Nursing at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) is seeking candidates for two (2) full-time, tenure-track nursing faculty positions. SIUE is classified by the Carnegie Commission on Higher Education as a Doctoral/Professional University, and as such, our institution is dedicated to exemplary student instruction. As a tenure-track faculty member in the School of Nursing, there is an expectation to demonstrate competent teaching across the curriculum, including didactic, clinical, simulation, and online settings in undergraduate and/or graduate programs. Faculty are expected to contribute to curriculum development, student mentorship, and ongoing program evaluation. Additionally, tenure-track faculty are expected to maintain a program of scholarship relevant to the practice of nursing, the nursing profession, and/or the education of nurses, consistent with rank and years in the tenure process, and to engage in service to the School of Nursing, the University, and relevant professional or community constituencies. Candidates who hold a Juris Doctorate or Medical Doctorate also must have an earned Doctorate in another nursing, education or related field. Candidates must possess a current, unencumbered RN License in Illinois and Missouri or be eligible for Illinois and Missouri RN licensure upon hire. Preferred Qualifications Preferred candidates will demonstrate teaching experience across undergraduate and graduate nursing programs as well as across multiple modalities such as classroom, clinical, simulation and online.
