The University invites applications from eligible candidates for the position of Assistant Professor for following departments or its Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE):Management: Operations Management / International Business / Information Technology Management / Business Analytics & Quantitative Techniques / Marketing / Finance / Agri-Business Management / Healthcare Management / FinTech / Digital Marketing / Retail Management / Human Resource Management (HRM).Mathematics: Mathematical Programming / Mathematical Statistics / Operations Research / LaTeX Lab.Humanities: Psychology / English / History / Economics / Political Science / Post-Colonial Literature / Language & Linguistics / International Relations / Public Policy.About the RoleThe selected candidate will be responsible for delivering online lectures, preparing academic content, guiding students, and supporting teaching and evaluation activities.ResponsibilitiesCreate audio-visual (A/V) content in studios for assigned courses and conduct live online sessions and discussion forums to facilitate interactive learning.Develop course content and e-learning materials in engaging and learner-friendly language, including assignments, practice quizzes, exercises, question banks, syllabus, and other learning resources in accordance with the Four Quadrant Approach.Monitor and assess learner activities through the Learning Management System (LMS) and provide timely feedback to support their learning progress.Act as a mentor to learners, addressing their academic queries and guiding them throughout the course.Conduct Personal Contact Program (PCP) sessions for ODL learners as per the academic schedule.Develop question banks, assignments, and examination question papers, and ensure timely evaluation of assignments and assessments.Serve as the Point of Contact (POC) for all academic responsibilities related to the assigned courses.Facilitate and moderate discussion forums to encourage learner interaction, academic discussions, and collaborative learning.Ensure learner engagement, development, satisfaction, and retention within the assigned courses while also fulfilling mentoring responsibilities.Collaborate with Programme Coordinators and other faculty members to enhance course quality and improve overall programme delivery.QualificationsMBA / PGDM or equivalent Master’s degree in the relevant specialization.Ph.D. in Management or related discipline will be preferred as per academic norms.Required SkillsFreshers or 2–5 years of teaching, research, or relevant industry experience.Experience in online teaching or Learning Management Systems (LMS) will be an added advantage.Shortlisted candidates will be asked to submit 5 minutes lecture video on the topic of their choice.Interested and eligible candidates are requested to send their updated CV and relevant documents to careers@vgu.ac.in
