Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM (occasional evenings or weekends)
Pay Range: $65,000 – $85,000/year

Overview
Harvey W. Hottel, Inc. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager (APM) to join our Special Projects team. The APM will assist in managing and coordinating commercial HVAC and service projects from start to finish. This role supports the Project Manager(s) and reports directly to the VP of Commercial Service & Special Projects, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the company’s high-quality standards.

Responsibilities
- Assist in managing and coordinating commercial service and special projects
- Support Project Manager(s) and VP to achieve project milestones and objectives
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets
- Track and report on project progress, deliverables, and financials
- Identify, document, and mitigate project risks and issues
- Serve as a liaison between clients, vendors, and internal field teams
- Maintain accurate and organized project documentation
- Participate in project meetings and progress reviews
- Assist in preparing proposals, estimates, and statements of work
- Ensure adherence to company safety policies and quality standards
Work Schedule
- Monday – Friday, 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM
- Occasional evenings and weekends may be required to meet project deadlines
Work Environment
- Combination of office and field-based work across various commercial job sites
- May involve exposure to heights, confined spaces, and loud environments
- Use of ladders, lifts, and safety equipment required
- PPE must be worn on all active job sites
- Some projects may involve service for religious organizations
Requirements
- 2–3 years of experience supporting project management in construction or HVAC
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in project management and scheduling software
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Nice to Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred)
- Knowledge of HVAC systems and services (preferred)
