Assistant Project Manager Apply
Overview
We're seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support our dynamic team in managing new construction multifamily plumbing projects and high-end remodel/general contracting projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven individual with a strong construction background to contribute to all phases of project management, from planning to closeout.
What You'll Do:
- Project Oversight & Reporting: Track project documents, specifications, and compliance reports; develop detailed project status reports; proactively identify and mitigate potential project risks.
- Scheduling & Coordination: Assist in developing project schedules, manage daily production quotas, and ensure seamless coordination between field teams, subcontractors, and general contractors.
- Procurement & Material Management: Collaborate with purchasing to execute material buyouts, track lead times, and manage material returns.
- Subcontractor & Field Coordination: Manage subcontractor performance, address under performance, and facilitate communication between field teams and subcontractors.
- Change Order & Cost Management: Manage change orders, track cost impacts, and create detailed estimates.
- RFIs, Document Control & Compliance: Spearhead RFI tracking, ensure proper document control, and manage punch lists and safety observations.
- Project Closeout & Warranty Management: Oversee project closeout procedures and manage warranty tracking.
- Contract Administration: Assist in reviewing and managing contract documents, track deliverables, and ensure compliance.
What You'll Need:
- Technical Skills: Expert proficiency in Procore and Buildertrend is mandatory. Experience in project tracking, procurement, scheduling, and documentation management is essential.
- Industry Experience: 5+ years of experience in construction project coordination, assistant project management, or field management. Background in general contracting or commercial plumbing/MEP is highly preferred.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction and MEP project workflows, contract management, submittals, RFIs, change orders, permitting, inspections, and compliance regulations.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, excellent communication skills, proactive problem-solving abilities, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
