Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Assistant Project Manager to support the planning, coordination, and execution of pump manufacturing projects. The ideal candidate will work closely with project managers, engineers, clients, and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of projects while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in managing all phases of pump manufacturing projects from initiation to completion
Coordinate with engineering, production, quality control, and logistics teams to ensure project milestones are met
Track project schedules, budgets, and deliverables; report status updates to the project manager
Prepare and maintain project documentation including specifications, purchase orders, change orders, and meeting minutes
Communicate with clients and vendors to support procurement, delivery timelines, and technical requirements
Assist in resolving project-related issues, including technical and logistical challenges
Monitor compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and internal procedures
Support continuous improvement initiatives within the project management process
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, Business, or related field preferred
2+ years of experience in project coordination or project management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting
Familiarity with pumps, rotating equipment, or mechanical systems is a strong plus
Strong organizational and multitasking skills with keen attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet) and Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Preferred Qualifications
PMP or CAPM certification
Experience using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles
