We are looking to hire a talented Assistant Landscape Construction Project Manager for our office in Westchester, NY (Katonah).
Role Responsibilities:
- Review construction documents and specifications, including take-offs, to create accurate estimates.
- Create construction budgets that detail total costs for approved landscape jobs prior to their commencement.
- Responsible for tracking all extra-contract work from construction to completion of assigned jobs and making sure change orders and/or invoices are issued with a sense of urgency.
- Responsible for maintaining an up-to-date set of construction plans for each assigned job and ensuring the subcontractor's project manager has a matching set
- Request and review subcontractor and vendor quotes for various work items.
- Communicate with Purchasing departments on materials costings and create vendor markups from historical data.
- Responsible for coordination of project work with subcontractor's foreperson/field PM. This includes ensuring all necessary data for each job is accurate and tracking the cost and man-hour budget through the construction of the project through to final invoicing.
- Perform site inventories/analyses and take field measurements as needed.
- Assist in the development of project plans, timelines, and milestones.
- Assist in scheduling all field-related activities per contract and/or proposal specifications and within established budgets.
- Create Landscape Management Reports and minutes for site meetings.
- Maintain and record \\\"as-builts\\\" for projects.
- Perform job start-up inspections and recommendations with the subcontractor's foreperson/field PM.
- Verify contract specifications are being met.
- Manage and drive the punch list process to ensure each assigned job is thoroughly completed to the highest standards.
- Responsible for monitoring all Slack reporting/communications and updating for each designated project.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
