Location: Northern Indiana
We are seeking Assistant Project Managers to support documentation control, project closeout, and sign-off processes for a large-scale, mission-critical data center construction program in Northern Indiana. These roles will support the Project Manager in ensuring all turnover documentation, punch lists, and completion requirements are accurately tracked, organized, and closed out in line with client expectations.
The ideal candidate will be early to mid-career, highly organized, detail-oriented, and eager to grow within a fast-paced mission-critical construction environment.
Responsibilities
Support the Project Manager with day-to-day documentation and closeout activities
Assist in tracking project deliverables, turnover logs, and completion status across multiple trades
Help manage punch lists, deficiency tracking, and closure verification
Coordinate collection and organization of closeout documentation including:
As-builts
O&M manuals
Warranties
Test reports
Commissioning documentation
Communicate with subcontractors to ensure timely submission of required closeout materials
Assist in maintaining digital document control systems and filing structures
Support QA/QC and commissioning teams in verifying completion requirements
Attend coordination and closeout meetings and document action items
Help track project sign-off requirements and client deliverable milestones
Identify missing or incomplete documentation and follow up with responsible parties
Support final turnover packages and client handover preparation
Qualifications
2–5+ years of experience in construction, project coordination, or document control (internship experience considered)
Exposure to commercial, industrial, or mission-critical construction projects preferred
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines across several project workstreams
Good communication skills and willingness to work with field and office teams
Basic understanding of construction documentation processes is a plus
Proficiency with Procore, Aconex, BIM 360, or similar platforms preferred
Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred but not required
Preferred Backgrounds
Candidates may come from general contractors, construction management firms, commissioning teams, or project support roles within large-scale construction programs. Experience supporting data center or mission-critical projects is highly desirable.
