Assistant Warehouse Operations Manager - Final Mile

ASSISTANT WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS MANAGER Responsibilities Coordinates distribution and warehousing in a cross‑dock operation. Confers with customers and representatives of associated industries to evaluate and promote improved and expanded services in the area. Develops plans for efficient use of materials, equipment, and employees. Reviews costs and makes changes or recommendations to maintain and enhance profitable operation of divisions. Participates in marketing and sales efforts, ensuring assigned facilities have the resources necessary to meet company goals and objectives, as well as P&L responsibilities. Supervises several warehouse positions, including Team Leaders and the Operations Supervisor. For food accounts, reports food‑safety problems to personnel with the authority to initiate action. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and training. PC proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
