- The office for this position is located at 920 Wildwood, Jefferson City, MO 65109.
- Candidates who complete a successful onboarding and training period may be eligible to work at an alternate location in compliance with OA-ITSD's Distributed Workforce Plan.
Why youll love this position:
This is an entry-level applications development position supporting the Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS). The employee will involved in standard coding, debugging, and modifications to existing applications. Employees will conduct standard testing and prepare documentation following existing standards and practices. Employees will utilize existing software tools and will work under the direction of a more seasoned applications development resource and/or team leader. May provide support as a member of the team for new configurations.
This position is with the Office of Administration, Information Technology Services Division (OA-ITSD) supporting the Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS).

- Develop, test, debug, deploy, and maintain source code for application systems.
- Ensure compliance with DHSS application development, 508, and security standards.
- Learn and develop new skills through various training opportunities.
- Knowledge of C#, VB.NET, JavaScript, TypeScript, JSON, jQuery, SQL.
- Knowledge of ASP.NET Web Forms, ASP.Net Core, Angular2+.
- Azure cloud tools and Azure DevOps, a plus.
- Agile development methodology, a plus.
- PL/SQL or T-SQL, a plus.
- MuleSoft / API's, a plus.
- Service Now, a plus.
- OKTA security, a plus.
- AI, a plus.
- Successful background check results are required for employment in this position. This may include background checks involving a candidates name and/or fingerprints and other screenings as needed for the specific position.

Knowledge of the core programming language used in the assigned area. Knowledge of computer logic statements and their applications. Ability to learn and apply concepts. Ability to perform basic mathematics. Ability to provide logical and innovative ideas, and think critically to resolve issues. Ability to communicate with staff, management, and agency personnel.
