About the Firm: A growing defense firm with a commitment to providing exceptional legal services to their clients. Their Pasadena office is expanding its Employment Law practice, and they are looking for a talented attorney who is passionate about delivering strategic, results-driven solutions while contributing to the growth of the firm.

Position Summary:
The firm os seeking an Associate Attorney with 3–5 years of experience in Employment Law defense, particularly with PAGA cases. The ideal candidate will be capable of independently managing basic cases and only outsourcing complex matters when absolutely necessary. Additionally, they are looking for someone who can contribute to their business and/or business litigation practice while building the employment law department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle a variety of Employment Law defense matters, with a focus on PAGA cases.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery, and represent clients in depositions, mediations, and court appearances.
  • Provide strategic advice to clients on employment compliance and litigation risks.
  • Collaborate with the team to expand the firm’s Employment Law practice.
  • Support business and/or business litigation cases as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Active California Bar License.
  • 3–5 years of experience in Employment Law defense, with a proven ability to manage cases independently.
  • Strong knowledge of PAGA cases and related employment law matters.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with a proactive approach.
  • Interest in contributing to the growth of the firm’s Employment Law practice.
