About the Role:

Our client, a reputable and dynamic law firm in Rhode Island, is seeking a motivated and dedicated Associate Attorney to join their team. This role is ideal for individuals with 0-3 years of experience who are eager to develop their legal expertise across family, criminal, and civil law practice areas. The position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment, gain hands-on experience, and refine litigation and negotiation skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a diverse caseload in family, criminal, and civil law matters.
  • Conduct legal research and draft various legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Participate in client meetings and ensure effective client communication.
  • Represent clients in court appearances, mediations, and administrative hearings.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and prepare for trials.
  • Analyze case files and provide detailed recommendations and solutions.
  • Stay updated on changes in relevant laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in Rhode Island or awaiting bar admission (admission in Massachusetts is a plus).
  • 0-3 years of experience in family, criminal, or civil law (preferred).
  • Strong legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
