Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of personal injury litigation, including Labor Law, slip-and-fall, and motor vehicle accident claims
- Evaluate case merits and develop case strategy
- Provide guidance, updates, and counsel to clients
- Ensure timely action and movement on all assigned matters
- Review case facts to determine insurance coverage, liability, damages, and necessary medical care
- Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
- Negotiate settlements at every stage of a case
- Conduct legal research and perform detailed legal analysis
- Handle administrative and practice-management tasks as required
- Appear for court dates, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials across all New York counties
- Maintain professionalism while managing multiple deadlines simultaneously
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum five (5) years of experience as a plaintiff-side personal injury attorney
- Strong understanding of New York personal injury and negligence law
- Experience with legal drafting, motions, and discovery
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to build rapport with clients and communicate clearly
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Active New York Bar admission in good standing
