We are seeking Associate Engineer(s) to work in our Land Development Engineering and Traffic & Transportation departments. These positions offer a hybrid work schedule. Associates at WEBB play an active role in the firm's pursuit to reach its goals by not only performing at the top of their game for their specific position but looking at the bigger picture to assist the firm in meeting its business development goals.Land Development EngineeringResponsibilitiesAssist in the planning and design of commercial, industrial and /or residential projectsPerforms design, drafting, computing, checking, and direction for field operations involved in the gathering and compilation of field dataReviews improvement plans including street, grading, water, sewer, and storm drain plansPreparation and design of engineering plans and documents (grading, drainage, street, sewer, water, etc.)Prepare cost and quantity estimatesTabulate and summarize statistical data and prepare reportsPreparation and review of drainage reports, calculations, and storm water quality management plansRequirementsFundamentals of civil engineering, mathematics and physics as applied to engineering, topography and construction surveying and analytical mechanicsExcellent technical and communication skillsBachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited universityPE licenseProficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D softwareWorking knowledge of public agency standards and guidelinesTraffic & TransportationResponsibilitiesServe in a technical role under the direction of a Project Manager on the engineering development of urban and rural highway/roadway projects.Completes assigned work independent and as a team within the schedule and number of hours provided.Responsible for preparation and/or modification of select portions of project reports, plans, designs, and calculations.Develops project quantities and assist with the development of cost estimates.Assists engineering teams with organization and administrative support of design files.Able to complete various tasks and duties including but not limited to research, data collection, field investigations, development, and design of projects.Prepare highway designs, including planning documents and PS&ECoordinate with other design disciplines, including structures, hydraulics/drainage, stormwater, traffic, electrical, utilities, right of way, and environmental.Coordinate workload throughout entire project development, and ensure completion of documents on schedule and within budget.Requirements1-3 years of experienceBachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited programE.I.T. CertificationExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsStrong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and AutoCAD Civil 3DKnowledge and understanding of Caltrans Highway Design Manual and Standards, AASHTO Highway Design Guide, California MUTCD, Greenbook / APWA standards, and other related standards
