Position Objective The Associate Construction Project Manager – Transmission Line , under direct supervision, serves as project support by planning, organizing, and implementing project management principles. This position must demonstrate an understanding of how the business operates, how changing circumstances are managed, and who to engage for support when questions arise. Success in this role requires strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, meet deadlines, and anticipate and support internal customer needs. Key Responsibilities Promote and maintain a strong safety culture , ensuring compliance with all safety and environmental policies, procedures, and regulations Support development and tracking of project performance metrics , budgets, and cost controls Assist with cost tracking, labor tracking, scheduling, and reporting Coordinate with field crews, foremen, subcontractors, engineers, and utility representatives Support material procurement, submittals, and equipment tracking Assist with subcontractor management and contract compliance Maintain project documentation including cost reporting, billing, scheduling, and budgeting records Assist with federal/state agency correspondence and reporting Participate in construction-related meetings to support project coordination Assist in proposal preparation, estimating, and quantity take-offs Provide onsite administrative and project support throughout long-term assignments Assist with change management, productivity tracking, and project closeout activities Perform other duties as assigned Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management , or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience) 0–3 years of related experience (transmission line, utility, or heavy civil construction preferred) Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving recordAbility to travel and commit to long-term onsite transmission project assignments Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (experience with job cost tracking or estimating software is a plus) Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated initiative, adaptability, and willingness to learn and grow Core Developmental Competencies Customer Focus Action Oriented Personal Accountability Drives Results Interpersonal Savvy Values Differences Communicates Effectively Demonstrates Self-Awareness Self-Development Work Environment & Physical Demands Combination of office work and active construction site environments Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds Work may involve a fast‑paced environment with frequent interruptions Travel required, including extended onsite assignments Field environments may include exposure to weather conditions, heavy equipment, and moderate to loud noise levels Ranked No. 1 Electrical Transmission & Distribution Contractor by Engineering News-Record National leader in overhead transmission and substation construction Family‑owned company with strong, stable growth Invests approximately $5,000 per employee annually in training and career development Performs high‑impact, essential work supporting communities and economic growth Strong company‑wide safety culture— everyone is responsible Part of one of North America’s largest and most diversified infrastructure contractors Medical, Dental, and Life Insurance HSA / FSA Options Short‑ and Long‑Term Disability 401(k) Retirement Plan Legal Assistance & Identity Protection Plans Why You?
