We are expanding our team and seeking a Associate Data Scientist who is passionate about turning data into actionable insights and innovative solutions.

Job Summary:

The Associate Data Scientist will be responsible for managing and analyzing large sets of data, creating algorithms, and developing predictive models that help solve complex business problems. This role requires a blend of technical prowess, analytical expertise, and creative problem-solving.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement data models and algorithms to analyze diverse sources of data to predict patterns and extract actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions.
  • Mine and analyze data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development, marketing techniques, and business strategies.
  • Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.
  • Use predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, ad targeting, and other business outcomes.
  • Develop company A/B testing framework and test model quality.
  • Coordinate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes.
  • Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy.
  • Communicate results and ideas to key decision makers.
  • Stay current with the latest technology trends and apply cutting-edge methods to business problems.
Required Skills:
  • Proficiency in statistical computer languages (R, Python, SQL) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets.
  • Experience using web services: Redshift, S3, Spark, DigitalOcean, etc.
  • Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks.
  • Experience with advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.) and experience with applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams and communicating with stakeholders.
  • Ability to drive a project from a concept to completion.
  • Aptitude for problem-solving.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Creative and innovative thinking.
  • High level of professional integrity and attention to detail.
