Associate Dir, Capital Markets
The Associate Director, Capital Markets will perform financial and risk modeling for the Capital Markets team, supporting syndications and debt capital markets transactions. The Associate Director will report to the [Director of Capital Markets] at Nuveen Green Capital and will be a crucial contributor to the company's capital markets team, with an initial focus on syndicated transactions and significant potential to expand into supporting other Nuveen Green Capital investment vehicles.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Analyze economics of syndicated assets and new debt transactions backed by CPACE through developing quantitative models and analyses.
  • Build and maintain asset and/or SPV-level cash flow models used to inform pricing, management, and structuring of debt transactions and syndications backed by CPACE.
  • Model rating agency methodologies and stresses; work with capital markets team to achieve efficient deal structures to pass agency stresses at each tranche’s desired rating level.
  • Package CPACE investment opportunities for investors and rating agencies, including preparing presentations, memos, models, and diligence responses.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Originations to provide capital markets input to deal-level pricing.

Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience modeling and/or analyzing structured products (ABS, CMBS, MBS, CLOs).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience modeling and/or analyzing structured products (ABS, CMBS, MBS, CLOs) at an investment bank, commercial bank, hedge fund, private credit fund and/or rating agency.
  • Commercial real estate underwriting experience.
  • Proven excel, modeling and quantitative skills.
  • Understanding of the commercial real estate structured products markets, credit analysis, and rating agency methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
  • Proficiency in Intex and Bloomberg.

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
