Aon is looking a virtual Associate Director for Climate Risk!
This role will support Climate Risk Monitor product development to support property renewals via Property Risk Analyzer. It will also enhance joint offerings between Climate Risk Advisory and AGRC Risk Engineering Teams.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Addition of impacts of climate change by peril, industry sector, asset type, and geography (vulnerability)
  • Develop appropriate marketing materials and documentation to be used internally and externally
  • Incorporate Impact Forecasting vulnerability for consistent view of risk for perils where it is available
  • Build out joint value proposition with our risk engineering team in AGRC and continued development of Transition Performance Index
  • Collaborate with client account leads on strategies for introducing climate change solutions and impacts to risk capital clients
  • Develop thought leadership and deliver through Aon media and social networks to increase market visibility on our capabilities

Skills and experience that will lead to success:

  • Approximately 5+ years experience in climate or catastrophe modeling and/or related product development
  • Bachelors degree with quantitative focus (e.g., engineering, statistics, actuarial science, earth science, meteorology, climatology); Advanced degrees (masters or PhD) a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to work independently on open ended problems
  • Programming experience (SQL, Python, R, etc.)
  • Effective interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills; strong standout colleague and ability to work across teams

Pay Transparency Laws:

The salary range for this position is $93,600 to $150,000 CAD annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicants education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted to reflect applicants geographic location.
