JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Associate Litigation Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. As an Associate Attorney, you will represent clients in various legal proceedings, prepare and draft legal documents, and provide strategic legal counsel. The ideal candidate will have strong litigation experience, excellent analytical abilities, and the capacity to manage client relationships and complex legal matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in court, arbitration, or before government agencies, ensuring effective advocacy in all phases of litigation.
- Prepare, review, and draft a wide range of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs, on behalf of clients.
- Provide clients with legal advice on business, corporate, and other legal transactions, helping them navigate potential risks and liabilities.
- Negotiate settlements in legal disputes to achieve favourable outcomes for clients while avoiding prolonged litigation when possible.
- Ensure that all legal actions and documentation comply with applicable laws, regulations, and court rules.
- Manage caseloads, including tracking deadlines, preparing case strategies, and coordinating with clients, experts, and opposing counsel.
- Assist in administrative tasks related to the practice of law, including maintaining case files and supporting senior attorneys in various capacities.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Must be admitted to the California State Bar and in good standing.
- Litigation experience required. Preference for candidates with prior experience in [specific area of litigation, e.g., commercial, employment, personal injury, etc.].
Skills:
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to assess complex legal issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft clear, concise legal documents.
