What You Will Do Associate Mechanic Drafter/Designer will be responsible for creating drawings that exhibit the detail and method of assembly for a variety of machinery and mechanical devices. Experience in machine design drafting, weldment and assemblies is required. 0-2 years Formal Drafting Training or Equivalent. Responsibilities Proficient in the use of SolidWorks/AutoCAD Knowledge in standard drafting practices. Good basic math skills. Able to read measuring devices (tape measures, rulers, calipers). Good phone and communication skills. Prepare variations of designs. Compute mechanical formulas to develop and design detailed specifications for components of machinery. Regular attendance and able and willing to work a reasonable amount of overtime. Provide regular progress updates on active projects. Mechanically inclined. Non-Essential Functions Familiar with pipe fittings, electrical conduit, various hydraulic piping/fittings. Experience in machine design drafting, including weldment and assemblies. Familiar with machining principles and tolerancing. Essential Physical Requirements Listen to and understand information presented through spoken words and sentences. Communicate information and ideas, both written and verbally so others will understand. Read and understand information and ideas presented in writing. Hold a valid driver\'s license and able to drive an automobile. Must make us aware of any surgical implants, pins, braces or other devices that could be affected by induction fields.
