Overview:
We are seeking a motivatedAssociate Scientist to support the execution of cell culture processes and downstream purification activities. This role is ideal for someone eager to learn, work hard, and contribute to a fast-paced lab environment. You will work with benchtop wave bioreactors, 200L & 500L bioreactors, chromatography systems, and other pilot-scale equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform aseptic vial thaw, cell culture passaging, and operation of bioreactors.
  • Support large-scale harvest operations through chromatography, filtration, and UF/DF.
  • Conduct in-process sampling, operate laboratory analyzers, and manage samples.
  • Maintain detailed documentation using electronic lab notebooks in accordance with good documentation practices (GDP).
  • Compound media and buffer solutions, and assist with CIP/SIP operations.
  • Assemble, disassemble, and maintain lab equipment, ensuring safety and compliance.
  • Escort vendors and maintain lab organization and cleanliness.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science OR
  • Associate's degree with 1 year of lab or manufacturing experience OR
  • High school diploma/GED with 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Ability to work weekends is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience in cell culture or downstream purification processes.
  • Experience with automated biopharmaceutical equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of data compilation, analysis, and scientific documentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Shift:

  • Flexible, but frequent weekend work required
  • 40 hours a week
