You’ll lead the design and development of both simple and complex drug products, ensuring optimal in vivo performance and regulatory compliance. Your key responsibilities will include:Leading formulation and process design for oral and parenteral drug products across clinical phases in the Complex Meds spaceApplying scientific and pragmatic thinking to deliver innovative product and technology solutionsProviding hands-on troubleshooting and laboratory support when neededCollaborating with analytical scientists to ensure robust testing of formulationsActing as project leader for pharmaceutical development programmesManaging CRO activities and client communicationsSupporting regulatory strategy and authoring CMC documentationIntroducing new formulation technologies and contributing to continuous improvementCoaching and mentoring junior staff and contributing to team developmentRepresenting the company at conferences and industry events The Ideal Candidate for the Associate Principal Scientist – Formulation RoleTo thrive in this role, you will need:A PhD with 3+ years’ of recent experience or a Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years’ recent experience in formulation developmentExpertise in oral and parenteral formulation development, including modified-release, nano-particulate, or liposomal systems – Specifically Complex Drug ProductsStrong knowledge of material properties, drug delivery systems, and global CMC regulatory requirementsRecent experience progressing complex drug products from discovery through to launchRecent formulation experience with Peptides, Proteins, Lipids is essentialA valid UK driving licenceIf you're a formulation science leader ready to make a real impact in pharmaceutical development, this is your opportunity to join a forward-thinking team and shape the future of drug delivery.
