Employer: ANDRO Computational Solutions LLC Job Title: Associate Scientist / Engineer II Job Location: Griffiss Business & Technology Park 111 Dart Circle, Rome, NY 13441-4229 Work Hours: Full-time; 40 hours per week Job Duties: Serve as a core member of ANDRO’s Marconi-Rosenblatt AI/ML Innovation Lab, conducting cutting‑edge research and development. Set up an O‑RAN testbed using software‑defined radios (SDRs) and support novel research initiatives beyond 5G. Perform core design and implementation tasks in C, C++, and Python. Assist in the design and implementation of embedded wireless networking solutions across the network, data link, and transport layers. Conduct extensive regression testing and support the software release process. Research recent advances in NextG networks, O‑RAN, applied machine learning, wireless communications, and signal processing; identify open challenges and develop innovative solutions. Assist with RF data generation and collection using software‑defined radios for signal classification and intelligence projects. Analyze the performance and complexity of developed solutions and investigate performance trade‑offs. Support documentation, presentations, reports, and other R&D‑related activities. Publish in leading journals and conferences; ANDRO will sponsor attendance at approved conferences upon acceptance of technical papers. Education: MS in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Science (or related) Special Skills: Knowledge of software‑defined radios (e.g., USRP); principles of network communications including the OSI model; containerization technologies such as Docker; front‑end development frameworks (e.g., React and Bootstrap); and foundational concepts in machine learning and cybersecurity. Skills may be acquired through academic coursework, laboratory work, or research projects.
