Associate Shipping Clerk 1 Pay Range: $17.50 - $17.50 per hour Shift: 1st Shift Schedule: Full-time Location: Belleville Your Role in Our Mission Accurately verifying and preparing orders for shipment using established procedures to meet or exceed customer expectations. Preparing and verifying shipment orders (pick note order) and their items, quantities and special instructions while producing a quick, efficient, and safe workflow; ensuring errors are caught and reported. Processing outgoing time‑sensitive shipments using UPS, FedEx and ERP system; accurately entering information; scanning and labeling shipments; keeping error rates minimal; maintaining an efficient work pace; meeting performance metrics. Replenishing supply of shipping boxes, copy paper, etc. at workstation on a daily basis. Operating all machinery safely and efficiently; reporting hazards; complying with safety and quality policies. Communicating with other departments on orders, shipping options, charges and transit times; maintaining good attendance; proactively assisting with international and inventory matters. Highlighting cross‑functional collaboration and ownership. Emphasizing continuous improvement and efficiency. What You’ll Bring High School diploma or GED required, with one to three months related experience required. Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions, correspondence, and memos; and to present information effectively in one‑on‑one and small group settings. Ability to apply common sense to carrying out written, oral, or diagram instructions; and to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Basic personal computer skills – turning on the computer and running one or two company‑specific data‑entry programs. Excellent planning and organization – prioritizing tasks, handling multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Certifications: pallet jack training, narrow aisle training, order picker certified. Excellent hearing, good communication skills, and ability to work proficiently and accurately with equipment; ability to interact with others daily; ability to follow oral and written instructions and maintain records; knowledge of inventory; attention to detail; basic math and typing skills; ability to prepare freight quotes. Must be skill checked on Put‑Away, Order Picking, Domestic Shipping, or International Shipping within 90 days of hire. Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, evolving environment. Strong problem‑solving mindset. Pay Transparency The expected pay range for this role is $17.50 per hour. Final compensation will depend on experience, skills and internal equity.
