Shift Details: 7:30am - 4:00pm

DESCRIPTION:

Analyze food samples for compliance and regulations.
Maintain records of analysis and prepare reports of analytical results
Understand basic principles of instrument/detection operation.
Perform routine maintenance on instruments and maintain log book.
Adhere to the method SOPs and the SOPs in the ISO Quality Manual
Maintain GLP and QA for current chemical methodology; address problems and initiate correct action to insure an efficient

Qualifications:
Undergraduate in biochemistry, biology, chemistry, environmental biology, epidemiology, genetics, microbiology, molecular biology, or public health.
Experience working in a government, private or academic laboratory performing biological or chemical analyses.
Beyond the Job Description, what additional skills and capabilities are needed for this role?
Computer - LIMS, Excel
They have a new project w Kettle chips for 3 months - they dont need a chemist who is going to be doing instrumentation. They need a TECHNICIAN doing sample prep, grinding samples.
LIMS experience is nice to have but if someone has experience w a similar software, is totally fine. They need to log info in the system - major project for the snack business.
They would ideally like 0-5 years of experience. Pursuing a degree in a science field, detail oriented. They are ISO accredited - new accreditation. Great to put on resume! They really need someone competent and enjoys lab work!
