Current Healthcare Provider CPR certification. National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification. Athletic Trainer Educational Requirements: Minimum Level: Bachelor's degree Degree Type: Bachelor of Science or equivalent Major/Area of Study: Athletic Training, Sports Medicine, or equivalent Athletic Trainer Job Overview: As an integral interdisciplinary sports medicine team member, the Athletic Trainer (AT) assumes responsibility for on-site athletic training coverage at designated schools and community events. Under the supervision of a physician, the AT delivers a range of services, including prevention, clinical evaluation, diagnosis, immediate care, treatment, rehabilitation, re-conditioning, organization, and administration. Athletic Trainer Key Responsibilities: On-Site Coverage: Provide on-site athletic training at designated schools and community events as instructed. Patient Care: Deliver services such as prevention, clinical evaluation, diagnosis, immediate care, treatment, rehabilitation, and reconditioning. Documentation: Ensure accurate and timely documentation adhering to Premier Health standards. Professional Practice: Engage in continuous education and stay abreast of industry trends.
