Position Summary
The University of Southern Indiana is accepting applications for Athletics Game-Day and Events Assistant (Part-Time).
Assist Athletics Administration staff with all facets of home-game sporting and non-sporting events.
Duties/Responsibilities
Assist with game management for all home athletic contests for Basketball, Soccer, Volleyball, Swimming & Diving, Tennis, Baseball, Softball, Golf, Track and Field, and Cross Country.- Serves as Game-Day Administrator in the absence of Assistant Director of Athletics. Responsible for bat-testing for baseball and softball games. Assists with crowd control as needed. Schedules and supervises student workers and practicum students for home athletic events. Assist with pre game-day preparations including set up and tear down. Assists with the notification process for internal and external entities if or when game-day schedules change. Works closely with game officials, meeting and assisting them upon arrival to campus. Greets visiting teams and assists with bus driver and parking accommodations. Assists with non-sporting events, including but not limited to Hall of Fame, Academic Breakfast, Archie Awards and fundraising events as needed. Assists with daily facility functions as needed.

Required Knowledge and Skills
Bachelors degree.- Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently.
Preferred Knowledge and Skills
Athletics experience with knowledge of game-day administration.- Knowledge of computers, internet, word processing, spreadsheet, and email software.
Regular Work Hours/Travel Requirements
Part-time position, hours not to exceed 28 hours per week.
Prolonged and irregular hours, such as evenings and weekends, are necessary to meet the facility schedule.
