Closing Date: 07/31/2026 Type of Position: Professional Staff - Project/Program Administration Job Type: Regular Sponsorship Available: No Institution Name: University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Department: ICE | CORE PA Admin Support Summary of Job Duties: The Attendance & Workforce Specialist plays a critical role in supporting Access Leadership through accurate reporting, policy aligned attendance management, and proactive workforce coordination. This position is responsible for developing and analyzing bi‑weekly attendance reports, monitoring disciplinary metrics, and ensuring consistent application of attendance policies across departments. The specialist prepares and processes attendance related disciplinary documentation, resolves discrepancies, and maintains data integrity within workforce systems. In addition to reporting and compliance functions, the role serves as a key communication link between Access Leadership, Payroll, and Operations, helping to manage unplanned absences, staffing adjustments, and shift coverage needs. The specialist also identifies opportunities to improve scheduling efficiency, optimize shift structures, and enhance workforce alignment. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams to support organizational workforce goals. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or High School plus 4 years’ experience Strong work ethic and accountability, excellent communication skills Experience with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word Preferred Qualifications: Three (3) years of experience in workforce management (WFM), including scheduling, staffing analysis, and system configuration. System knowledge of Power BI and UKG Job Responsibilities: Develop, generate, and analyze workforce and attendance reports using systems such as Power BI, Mitel, UKG, and Workday to provide leadership with actionable insights, monitor compliance, and track workforce metrics. Support Access Leadership by preparing attendance‑related disciplinary documentation, maintaining accurate attendance records, investigating discrepancies, and providing policy guidance for employee counseling. Coordinate workforce administration by communicating attendance and compliance issues, collaborating with payroll and leadership teams, managing unplanned absences and staffing coverage, and identifying opportunities to improve scheduling efficiency and workforce distribution. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
