Position: Attorney – Anchorage, Alaska

Direct Counsel is seeking an Attorney to join a highly respected regional law firm with a strong reputation in the Northwest. The firm serves clients across seven key industry sectors, including Technology, Healthcare and Life Sciences, Consumer Products, Manufacturing and Retail, Natural Resources, Real Estate and Construction, Ports and Maritime, and Indian Country and Alaska Native Corporations.

Locations: Anchorage, Alaska

Position Overview:
The firm is seeking a full-time attorney for its Anchorage office. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex litigation and corporate matters while collaborating with a dynamic team.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to practice law in Alaska.
  • Experience in litigating complex disputes for both plaintiffs and defendants.
  • Expertise in corporate governance, government contracting, and relevant federal programs (e.g., SBA 8(a) Business Development Program).
  • Knowledge of Alaska Native Corporations and tribal governments.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.

Preferred Experience:

  • Background in matters involving government contracting.
  • In-depth understanding of the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act and related legal issues.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary range: $165,000–$250,000, based on skills and relevant legal experience.
  • Eligible for discretionary merit bonuses.
  • Comprehensive benefits package, details available upon request.

Work Environment:

  • In-office work is required on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, with flexible remote options on Mondays and Fridays.
