Job Title: Associate Attorney

Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL

Salary: $100k-$150k

Requirements: 2+ years of Insurance Defense experience

Position Overview

An insurance defense attorney is responsible for representing insurance companies in legal matters related to personal injury claims. This role requires deep knowledge of insurance laws and regulations, as well as the ability to effectively defend against personal injury claims on behalf of the insurance company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Defend insurance companies in personal injury lawsuits
  • Conduct legal research and prepare legal briefs and other legal documents
  • Attend court hearings and trials to represent the insurance company
  • Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel or parties
  • Work closely with insurance adjusters to evaluate claims and develop defense strategies
  • Communicate with clients, insurance companies, and other parties involved in the legal proceedings
  • Stay up-to-date on changes in insurance laws and regulations

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
  • Active license to practice law in the state
  • 2+ years of experience practicing as an attorney, preferably in insurance defense or personal injury
  • Deep understanding of insurance laws and regulations
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Excellent research and writing skills
  • Ability to manage a high caseload and meet deadlines
