Key Responsibilities
- Defend insurance companies in personal injury lawsuits
- Conduct legal research and prepare legal briefs and other legal documents
- Attend court hearings and trials to represent the insurance company
- Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel or parties
- Work closely with insurance adjusters to evaluate claims and develop defense strategies
- Communicate with clients, insurance companies, and other parties involved in the legal proceedings
- Stay up-to-date on changes in insurance laws and regulations
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in the state
- 2+ years of experience practicing as an attorney, preferably in insurance defense or personal injury
- Deep understanding of insurance laws and regulations
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Excellent research and writing skills
- Ability to manage a high caseload and meet deadlines
