Job Description: Medical Malpractice & Nursing Home - Insurance Defense

We represent physicians and medical groups throughout the Southern and Middle region of

Registered Nurses, Paralegals, Legal Assistants, and Litigation Support Specialists to bring

over three decades of experience servicing medical malpractice insurance carriers & their

insureds.

Requirements: The ideal candidate will be handling cases during the 90-day or 75-day

presuit process under Sec. 766 or Sec. 400, Fla Stat. which would include attending initial

client meetings, answering & propounding discovery, participating in presuit mediations

& preparing status reports to carriers. The candidate will also be handling cases through

the litigation phase inclusive of preparing motions, propounding and answering all types

of discovery, attending hearings, reporting case status to carriers and participating in

depositions, mediations, arbitrations & trials.

Qualifications: Licensed member of the Florida Bar and in good standing; strong legal

research and excellent writing skills; persuasive oral advocacy; ability to provide

excellent customer service to our clients through conferences and reports; have a clear

and concise communication style; must be a self-started and goal-oriented with a focus

on long-term career goals; ability to respond timely to case & reporting deadlines; ability

to work in-person at the Plantation office.
