At Lauterbach & Amen, we value our people and know that each employee is vital to our success. We are searching for a full-time Audit Lead to join our Audit department. This role will be based in the Greater Milwaukee area. The anticipated, average salary range for this position is $60,000-$70,000 with the final offer determined based on business-related factors such as geographic location, relevant experience, education, skill set, and professional certifications. As part of our compensation philosophy, offers are typically not made at the top of the range to allow room for future growth and salary progression over time. Job Responsibilities Performs basic audit procedures, including testing transactions and reviewing financial records. Verifies accuracy of financial data by comparing items to supporting documentation. Prepares audit work papers by documenting audit tests and findings. Assists in evaluating internal controls and identifying potential risks or compliance issues. Communicates audit findings and discrepancies to audit team members. Follows audit plans and ensures adherence to accounting standards and regulations. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed and supporting audit team members. Delivers professional and responsive client service by clearly communicating with clients and team members. Qualifications and Skills Bachelor’s degree in accounting 0-3 years of experience Pursuing CPA, a plus Government or Non-profit Audit experience preferred Ability to travel 80% of the time around the suburbs of Milwaukee with occasional travel to other locations in Wisconsin Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize tasks Outstanding written and verbal communication skills Benefits 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Disability insurance Flexible spending account Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance EOE/M/F/D/V/SO #J-18808-Ljbffr
