Long-Term 1 year + Contract Assignment in Muscatine, IA

Job Description:

• Perform civil and mechanical system design and decision-making
• Apply sound engineering and design principles to projects
• Ensure systems and equipment comply with regulatory standards
• Assist with project reviews and system design evaluations
• Review field installations to ensure alignment with design plans
• Verify and complete as-built drawings
• Develop construction drawings and documentation
• Collaborate with Project Engineers, Planners, and Field Coordinators
• Prepare equipment and material take-offs and specifications
• Conduct site surveys and field verification to support design
• Develop site plans, equipment layouts, piping plans, and isometrics
• Update as-built drawings

Skills Requested:

• Strong communication and decision-making skills
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Basic knowledge of civil and mechanical engineering principles
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Knowledge of surveying and field verification (e.g., Leica point cloud) a +
• Understanding of mechanical and civil design practices and regulations
• Familiarity with design codes and standards (OSHA, ADA, ASME, etc.)
• Experience with process-related equipment such as pumps, piping, and heat exchangers

Education/Training/Certifications

• Associate degree in Drafting/Design Technology or equivalent
