Position : Full-Time Process & Automation Specialist Location : Brainerd, Minnesota Pay : $25.00 - $30.00 per hour Your day as a Process & Automation Specialist As a new Process & Automation Specialist at Barrett Petfood, you can expect a dynamic work environment where every day presents an opportunity to innovate. Your typical schedule will be Monday through Friday, from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM. You'll begin each shift by reviewing packaging goals and identifying areas where automation can enhance efficiency. Collaborating with a skilled team, you'll implement and monitor automated processes, troubleshooting any issues that arise in real-time. Daily tasks may include: Analyzing data to improve workflows. Conducting routine maintenance on equipment. Participating in team meetings. Engaging with cross-functional teams to gather insights and feedback, fostering a customer‑centric approach while maintaining a strong focus on safety and integrity. In addition, you will: Day‑to‑day support and troubleshooting of packaging and production equipment, with the possibility of developing new or improved equipment, processes, or techniques. Provide automation and robotic support for multiple packaging lines. Work independently and with a team, conferring with supervisor on complex assignments. Assist senior process engineering activities and projects in coordination with internal and external partners. Identify and investigate issues and provide solutions to the management team. Assess feasibility and soundness of proposed engineering tests, products, and equipment. Execute and lead performance improvement activities through OEE. Effectively manage small to mid‑sized projects, ensuring project completion is on‑time, on‑budget, and on‑quality; coordinate project work with other operating units; regularly report project status.
