PTS Advance is hiring on behalf of a well-established and growing industrial automation company looking for a Automation & Controls Specialist to join their team in Central Wisconsin.This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong interest in automation, drives, or electrical power systems. Candidates with technical aptitude and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply-even if you don't check every box.What You'll Be Doing:Design automation systems using drives, PLCs, and IEDs.Service, commission, and test drives and control equipment.Troubleshoot control circuits and low-voltage communication/protection systems.Conduct wiring checks and support installation.Create project documentation and provide training to customers.Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure timely and quality project delivery.Required Qualifications:Degree in Electrical Power or 5+ years of relevant hands-on experience.Ability to read prints and electrical/control schematics.Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).Strong communication and organization skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Preferred Experience:Background in electrical panels, industrial controls, or automation.Strong knowledge of VFD's (Variable Frequency Drives)Mechanical, electrical, or software aptitude.Previous work in field service or installation roles.Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision (employer paid) 401(k) with company match Short-term disability and life insurance (company paid) FSA/HSA with employer contributions Paid Volunteer TimePhysical Requirements:Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Frequent walking, bending, crouching, and climbing.Work may include slippery or uneven surfaces and use of PPE.
