Job Summary:

  • We are seeking a skilled and motivated Automation and Controls Engineer with expertise in Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to join our team. The ideal candidate will design, program, and maintain automated systems, ensuring efficiency, safety, and reliability. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement control solutions for manufacturing processes, machinery, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop control system architectures, including hardware and software solutions, tailored to project requirements.
  • Proven experience in designing and programming PLC-based control systems.
  • Familiarity with industrial automation in manufacturing or process industries.
  • Design and program PLC systems for automation and process control applications.
  • Create and interpret electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.
  • Write, test, and debug PLC code (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Schneider).
  • Develop Human-Machine Interface (HMI) and SCADA systems for user interaction.
  • Implement communication protocols such as Ethernet/IP, Modbus, and Profibus.
  • Integrate PLCs with sensors, actuators, and industrial networks.
  • Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and software teams for seamless integration.

Troubleshooting and Maintenance:

  • Diagnose and resolve control system issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Provide ongoing support and preventive maintenance for automated systems.
  • Participate in the planning, execution, and commissioning of automation projects.
  • Prepare detailed project documentation, including user manuals and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company guidelines.
  • Stay updated on advancements in automation technology and industry best practices.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related field.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in PLC programming languages (Ladder Logic, Function Block, Structured Text).
  • Hands-on experience with industrial control hardware (PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, sensors).
  • Knowledge of safety systems and standards (e.g., SIL, ISO 13849).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in PLC programming or Industrial Automation.
  • Experience with robotics, vision systems, or motion control.
