Looking for an opportunity to support innovative Biotech projects? We have an immediate need for an Automation Engineer who will support the design, installation, testing, turnover and operations of the site Building Management Systems and Environmental Management Systems (EMS).Here's a taste of what you'll be doing:Own and manage the Building Management System, ensuring that facilities, equipment, and environmental systems are within specified ranges and that operating systems function properly.Perform the programming, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Equipment Monitoring System and Building Management System issues and alarms to ensure continuous operation and performance.Resolve routine technical and engineering issues with guidance.Programming Distributed Control Systems (Emerson, Delta V, Siemens Building Management Systems and Factory Talk) and PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens and GE etc.).Support plant communications network (Ethernet IP, Device net and Modbus).Develop and implement training programs necessary to transfer knowledge and/or procedures to production or laboratory personnel dealing with manufacturing techniques or process equipment.Assist in qualification of equipment / review of sequence of operations for facilities team.You'll be a perfect fit if you have:Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field is required.Minimum of five years of experience in BMS, HVAC automation controls, EMS or other related experience.Minimum of three years minimum of maintenance experience in a biotech or pharmaceutical company with direct experience with GMP facility operation.Proven experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining EMS and BMS in a GMP-regulated environment, with a focus on Siemens equipment.In-depth knowledge of EMS and BMS technologies, protocols, and standards (e.g., BACnet, Modbus, LON, etc.), with specific experience in integrating Siemens systems.Proficiency in system integration and networking principles within a GMP environment.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex system issues while adhering to GMP regulations.Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders in a GMP environment.Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Energy Manager, Siemens certifications) are a plus.Compensation and benefits offering:Pay: $120k - $160k a year (based on experience)Annual Profit Sharing Bonus (variable depending on firm’s performance, employee performance, and tenure).PTO and paid holidays.Health benefits - Employee through family level coverage for medical, dental, and vision insurances.
