Automation Engineer (DeltaV → 800xA) | Long-Term Project | Onsite – NCWe’re partnering with a specialized automation consulting group supporting a large-scale system modernization initiative — and they’re looking to bring on Automation Engineers with DeltaV experience who are ready to expand into new platforms.This is not a maintenance role — this is true system transformation work. What You’ll Be DoingSupporting a major control system upgrade (DeltaV → 800xA environment)Converting and building control strategies for process systems (including fermentation)Assisting with system configuration, commissioning, and startup activitiesCollaborating with senior engineers to deliver modernized, scalable automation systems Why This Role Stands OutOpportunity to expand beyond DeltaV into 800xA (highly marketable skillset)Work on a long-term, high-impact project (~2 years)Be part of a small, high-caliber engineering team (quality over volume)Gain exposure to system upgrades vs. day-to-day support workStrong technical leadership onsite to support growth What We’re Looking For~3+ years of DeltaV (Emerson) experienceBackground in automation / controls engineeringExperience with:Batch processes / configurationCommissioning / startupProcess control systemsExposure to regulated or industrial environments (pharma, biotech, chemical, etc.)Ability to work onsite in North Carolina Nice to HaveAny exposure to 800xA (ABB)Experience with system upgrades or migrationsFamiliarity with fermentation or process manufacturing environments LogisticsLocation: Onsite in North CarolinaDuration: ~24-month engagementSchedule: 40 hours/weekStart: Rolling (initial hire ASAP, additional hires over coming months) Who This Is Perfect ForThis is ideal for an engineer who:Wants to break out of a single-system career pathIs looking for long-term project stabilityEnjoys hands-on engineering + learning new platformsWants to be part of meaningful system upgrades — not just support tickets Interested?If this sounds like something you’d be open to exploring, feel free to reach out directly or apply here — happy to walk you through the details.
