Job Summary:
- The Automation Engineer is responsible for developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting control systems in an industrial environment.
- This position is responsible for design, programming and configuration of DCS systems, PLCs, SCADA and related software.
- They will provide technical support to customers, develop technical documents, and participate in project management and project coordination.
- The Automation Engineer will be responsible for the development and implementation of automation strategies for industrial process control systems.
- They will be required to have a working knowledge of industrial control systems, and be able to communicate effectively with customers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Needs to be comfortable with the night shift work.
Detailed Description:
- As a shift automation engineer the following are expected to form the overall job description:
- Work on Incident management, Service request management, Problem management and Change management areas.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal, communication, documentation, presentation and computer skills.
- Works in a team based environment and exchanges technical information with management, technical support personnel, and equipment vendors.
- Execute IQ, OQ for Control Systems Development and Enhancements
- Develop system validation documentation and ensure system validation compliance.
- Manage and update system documentation including SOPs.
- Create and manage application-specific knowledge management.
- Programming of various Control Systems applications and HMIs
