Automation Engineer, SCADA, – 12-Month Contract | Near TurnhoutWe are currently supporting a well-established, highly automated manufacturing business in the region to recruit an experienced Automation Engineer.This is a great opportunity to join a modern production environment with a strong focus on automation, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.Location: Near Turnhout, BelgiumContract: 12 monthsStart Date: ASAP / FlexibleRate: Market ratesThe RoleYou will be responsible for supporting and improving automated production systems, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and compliance within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPLC programming, testing, and troubleshooting of control systemsSupporting and maintaining automated production linesFault finding across electrical and control systemsWorking with SCADA systems to monitor performance and identify improvementsSupporting continuous improvement and process optimisation initiativesKey Skills & ExperienceStrong PLC programming experience (Rockwell, TIA7)Experience with HMIs and control system architectureKnowledge of industrial networking (Ethernet/IP, ProfiNet, Modbus)Ability to read and interpret electrical drawingsUnderstanding of sensors and instrumentation (temperature, pressure, flow)Experience in manufacturing environments (food or process industry advantageous)Familiarity with GMP / HACCP standards is a plus
