Cure Talent is thrilled to partner with a renowned global medical technology company with an impressive legacy spanning over a century, creating life-enhancing medical diagnostic products! Due to continued investment within their Development Engineering function, we are now looking for a Controls & Instrumentation Engineer to join their R&D team.This is a genuinely varied role, sitting 50% within hands on electrical engineering and 50% within controls development, supporting projects ranging from fast paced 6 week builds through to 18-month flagship programmes.The RoleThis is not a diagnostic or maintenance role. You will be designing and building systems from the ground up.On the electrical side, you will be:Designing and building electrical panelsCarrying out hands on electrical works, not just producing schematicsIntegrating and commissioning electrical systems within new equipmentOn the controls side, you will be:Creating PLC programmes from scratchWriting logic and structured code rather than simply editing existing programmesSupporting full system development across R&D projectsYou will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and scientists on a wide range of development projects, giving you exposure to both short term rapid builds and longer-term complex programmes.About YouTo be successful, you will ideally have:HNC or higher in Electrical, Electronic or Control EngineeringStrong hands-on electrical engineering experienceExperience writing PLC code from scratch, any PLC platform consideredExperience designing and commissioning control systemsExperience within vision systems, data systems or regulated industries would be advantageous, but are very much nice to have rather than essential.If you’re looking for a role where you can build systems from first principles, work on varied projects and have real technical ownership, this could be an excellent next step.
