About the Ro le: The Automation Maintenance Technician is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing automated machinery, electrical/mechanical equipment, and production systems to ensure optimal performance and adherence to quality and safety standards. This role supports continuous production by performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting system issues, and collaborating with senior technicians and engineers to enhance equipment reliabilit y. Duties/Responsibiliti es:· Inspect automated machinery, equipment, and systems to identify issues and ensure functionali ty.· Calibrate, troubleshoot, and perform maintenance on various types of electrical and mechanical equipme nt.· Ability to prioritize and self-schedule maintenance work around production activiti es.· Ensure quality standards are always m et.· Assist in the assembly, installation, and maintenance of automated systems according to specificatio ns.· Collaborate with senior technicians and engineers to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issu es.· Conduct routine maintenance and quality checks on automated systems to uphold standar ds.· Assist in the development and implementation of preventative maintenance procedur es.· Assist in planning and scheduling repairs and maintenance tas ks.· Maintain accurate inventory records for equipment and suppli es.· Adhere to cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices), safety standards and policies to maintain a safe working environme nt. Required Skills/Abilit ies:· Strong knowledge of automation systems, including process control, instrumentation, and servo-driven systems with ladder lo gic.· Proficiency in calibrating, troubleshooting, and maintaining electrical and mechanical equipm ent.· Ability to prioritize and schedule maintenance tasks effectively around production activit ies.· Strong mechanical aptitude with proficiency in using hand and power tools for maintenance and repa irs.· Excellent problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail, especially in ensuring quality standa rds.· Effective written and verbal communication skills for reporting issues and collaborating with team memb ers.· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environm ent.· Familiarity with cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environm ent.· Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and processes in automation and mechanical syst ems. Education and Experi ence:· High School Diploma or GED requ ired.· Vocational/Trade training or an Associate's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related field, is prefe rred.· A minimum of 2 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment, with hands-on experience in automation and mechanical systems requ ired.· Experience with preventative maintenance programs and automation troubleshooting prefe rred. Physical Require ments:· Ability to lift and carry heavy objects up to 75 p ounds.· Comfortable working in environments with exposure to noise, dust, heat, cold and other industrial ele ments.· Ability to work in a warehouse environment with variable temperatures and humidity l evels.· Willingness to work flexible hours and occasional overtime as needed, including weekends, public holidays, and eve nings.· Must be able to stand, walk, bend over, and pick up items and have constant movement for the duration of the shift.o Must be able to lift, push, kneel, and pick up items, both small and large.o Capability to operate heavy machinery such as pallet jacks and forklifts safely and efficie ntly.. Work Schedule (Non-E xempt):This position is scheduled on a full-time basis. Specific shift times and workdays are determined by the operation and may vary by location. Business needs may require work on evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as occasional overtime. Scheduled start and end times, assigned shifts, and workdays are subject to change based on staffing and operational requirements. Whenever feasible, advance notice of schedule changes will be pr ovided.
