Job Title: Automation Technician (12-hour Day & Night Shifts Available)

Position Overview:
American Nitrile is hiring Automation Technicians to ensure automated machinery operates efficiently and with minimal scrap. This role involves monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting production machinery, supporting changeovers, and contributing to a clean, safe, and efficient work environment. Day and night shifts are available, with a rotating 12-hour schedule.

Shift Schedule:

• 12-hour shifts
• Night shift includes 10% shift differential
• Includes a 30-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks per shift
• Overtime paid according to labor laws
  

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate, monitor, and maintain assigned automation equipment
• Troubleshoot and adjust machinery to ensure smooth operation and minimal scrap
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment
• Log findings in maintenance tracking systems
• Complete hourly glove counts and weigh end-of-shift scrap
• Support equipment startups, shutdowns, and changeovers
• Keep machines and work areas clean and organized
• Communicate with Automation Supervisor and support team coordination
  

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial automation or manufacturing machinery
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to learn quickly
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
• Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills
• Effective written and verbal communication
  

Working Conditions:

• Must be able to move quickly between machines during shift
• Environment is well-ventilated and well-lit but not temperature controlled
• PPE required (helmets, gloves, safety goggles)
• Regular safety drills and clear emergency protocols
• Designated outdoor smoking areas
