Tekberry is looking for a highly qualified and motivated Vehicle Operations Logistics Specialist to support transportation operations with our client, a leader in the automotive auction and logistics industry. This is a full-time contract opportunity supporting high-volume vehicle movement and client service operations. This position plays a critical role in ensuring vehicles are transported efficiently between auction locations, dealerships, and carriers. The role combines customer service, transportation coordination, data tracking, and problem-solving in a fast-paced logistics environment.
Responsibilities-
Make real-time outbound calls to pickup locations and carriers to verify vehicle readiness and transport status

Track and update vehicle records and master location data to resolve discrepancies

Manage shared email inboxes and coordinate communication across multiple regions

Enter manual orders and process transportation requests in internal systems (AS400/AutoIMS)

Monitor transport holds, verification delays, and carrier issues

Investigate rejected VIN assignments and coordinate re-dispatch of vehicles

Follow up with carriers daily to confirm ETA, cancellations, and delays

Process transportation fees and assessorial charges

Request and process hold harmless agreements and releases

Negotiate dispatches and support margin management activities

Escalate service issues and create corrective action plans with vendors

Maintain relationships with auction staff and transportation partners

Compile transportation data and generate performance reports

Track operational performance metrics and communicate results to leadership

Solve operational problems quickly in a high-urgency environment

Perform additional duties as assigned

1 3 years of administrative, customer service, call center, or logistics experience
-
Strong phone communication skills and professional email etiquette
-
Excellent data entry accuracy and attention to detail
-
Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word

Strong problem-solving skills and sense of urgency

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced team environment

High School Diploma or equivalent
-
Valid driver's license
-
Ability to pass background check and drug screening

Automotive auction, dealership, or transportation/logistics experience
-
Dispatching or fleet coordination experience

Call center or sales experience
-
Experience working with carriers or vendors
-
Some college coursework
This is a high-volume operational role involving:

Close collaboration with carriers, clients, and auction personnel
