Tekberry is looking for a highly qualified and motivated Transportation Coordinator Vehicle Logistics to work onsite with our client, a leading automotive auction and vehicle remarketing organization. This is a full-time contract role supporting vehicle transportation operations within a regional market. This role is operations-focused and communication-heavy - you will coordinate vehicle transport, contact pickup locations and carriers, track VIN status, and document updates across multiple internal systems to ensure vehicles move through the auction process on time.
Responsibilities Make real-time outbound phone calls to dealerships, lots, and carriers to verify vehicle readiness and pickup status
Track and update vehicle information (VIN status, location, delays, and release requirements) in internal systems
Monitor shared inboxes and coordinate updates across multiple regional locations
Enter manual orders and process transportation orders within AS400 and AutoIMS systems
Investigate carrier "kickbacks" and reschedule vehicles for dispatch
Follow up daily with carriers regarding delays, ETAs, and cancellations
Process transportation fees and post charges to vehicle records
Request and manage Hold Harmless agreements and release documentation
Identify and correct order entry failures or location data errors
Manage escalation cases and coordinate with internal client success teams
Hold carriers accountable to pickup plans and timelines
Build working relationships with Manheim auction operations and commercial teams
Compile transportation performance data and generate operational reports
Track holds, verification delays, and vendor performance issues
Assist in vendor corrective actions and service resolution
Provide administrative support and perform additional duties as assigned
1 3 years of administrative, customer service, dispatch, or coordination experience
Strong phone communication skills and comfort making frequent outbound calls
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
High attention to detail and accurate data entry skills
Strong multitasking and problem-solving ability in a fast-paced environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
High sense of urgency and accountability
High School Diploma or equivalent
Valid driver's license
Ability to pass background check and drug screening
Automotive industry experience (dealership, auction, service department, or fleet operations)
Dispatching, logistics coordination, or transportation experience
Call center or high-volume customer contact experience
Experience working in automotive auction or transportation environments
Some college coursework
