Position Title: Automotive Infotainment Validation Engineer

Job Responsibilities Evaluate, test, validate, and diagnose automotive infotainment and connected vehicle systems across CAN, LIN, MOST, and Automotive Ethernet networks, including in-vehicle, on-bench, and drive testing, with defect tracking and reporting in JIRA.
Test Planning & Requirements Evaluate requirements and change requests to create design verification test plans.
Work with customers to define project scope, features, requirements, and verification plans.
Test Execution & Validation Conduct test procedures on bench and vehicle assets for MOST, Automotive Ethernet, and CAN-based infotainment systems.
Execute on-bench validation, in-vehicle testing, and drive testing with client engineers.
Perform Functional, System, Integration, and Regression Testing of automotive software on hardware platforms.
Validate infotainment features including Audio, Navigation, Bluetooth, Android Auto/CarPlay, Telematics, and Connected Vehicle services.
Validate CAN, LIN, and Automotive Ethernet protocols for ECU communication.
Perform OBD validation, including DTC, PID, and DID verification.
Analyze component, vehicle, and network logs to confirm system performance and diagnose issues.
Diagnose system malfunctions using Vehicle Spy, CANoe, CANalyzer, Ellisys Analyzer, and BT sniffers.
Perform root cause analysis for testing failures and update test plans and procedures.
Test Automation & Tooling Develop scripts and simulations to automate testing using Vector CANdb++ and customer tools.
Connected Vehicle & OTA Verify Connected Vehicle Ecosystem components, including TCU, SYNC, Cluster, Cloud networks, and Mobile Applications.
Support OTA software updates, including vehicle registration, package uploads, and campaign execution.
Support End-of-Line testing at assembly plants and resolve launch gating issues.
Create test reports and defects using JIRA and interface with development teams to resolve bugs.
Provide status updates and technical reports to project teams and customer management.
Knowledge & Skills Applied Telematics Control Unit, Radio unit, cluster validation, and test tools development.
Verification methodologies for embedded systems, including vehicle control (CAN, LIN, Ethernet), navigation (GPS), connectivity (Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth), and infotainment systems.
Android platform and automotive infotainment software.
Automotive networks and protocols (CAN, LIN, MOST, Ethernet AVB) using tools like Vehicle Spy, Neo VI, CANoe, and DPS.
Embedded operating systems including Android, QNX, and Linux.
JIRA for defect tracking and test management.
Requirements Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Telecommunications Engineering, or foreign equivalent + 3 years of experience.
