Essential Duties
Know what and how the dealership experience works (online Buying Experience)
Meet or exceed the .65 Benchmark (17.9% Closing rate)
Communicates effectively with Internet customers and prospects according to their preferred method of communication, whether by phone, by email or in person.
Has thorough knowledge of all dealership products and services.
Satisfies the transportation needs of Internet-generated customers.
Sells/leases and delivers a minimum required units per month.
Directs customers to product information resources, including those available on the Internet.
Assists customers in selecting vehicles.
Understands the psychology of Internet customers and works with them accordingly to draw them into the store for proper vehicle demonstration and to close the transaction.
Checks email frequently and responds to inquiries immediately.
Delivers messages intended for other departments promptly.
Notifies customers that their messages have been forwarded to the appropriate personnel for prompt attention.
Handles all Internet sales inquiries personally.
Coordinates Internet promotions with other dealership sales promotions and advertising.
Ensures that the website address is prominently displayed throughout the dealership, e.g., on business cards, flyers, pens and all dealership advertising.
Researches auto-buying services on the Internet and acts as liaison with any services the dealership uses to promote its site or advertise.
Works with webmasters to update the website frequently to attract new and repeat visitors.
Takes photos of dealership inventory for use on the dealership site.
As an Internet Sales Representative, you will be responsible for managing the online presence and sales activities of our dealership.
Your role will involve a combination of sales, customer service, and administrative tasks. Respond to online inquiries and leads promptly and professionally Engage with potential customers via phone, email, and chat to provide information and assistance Build and maintain relationships with customers to understand their needs and preferences Assist customers in the vehicle selection process by providing detailed product information and conducting virtual tours Negotiate pricing and terms to close sales deals Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth delivery of vehicles to customers Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities in the CRM system Monitor and manage the sales pipeline to meet or exceed sales targets Provide sales support to the showroom team as needed To succeed in this role, you should possess the following skills:
- Dealership experience is preferred but not required - Strong sales skills with the ability to negotiate effectively
- Proficient in retail math and basic math calculations - Excellent cold calling skills with the ability to engage customers over the phone - Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Familiarity with CRM systems and ability to navigate online platforms - Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of customer service
