Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Service Advisor/Writer. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring exceptional automotive services and repairs by effectively communicating with customers, processing warranty claims, and assisting in various aspects of the service process.
Responsibilities:
- Customer Communication: Interact with customers and suppliers, listening attentively to their concerns and inquiries. Establish and maintain positive customer relationships by providing clear and detailed information about automotive services and repairs.
- Service and Warranty Claims Processing: Efficiently initiate automotive services and repairs by assessing performance problems, verifying warranty and service contract coverage, and processing warranty claims. Clearly explain warranty provisions and exclusions to customers.
- Technical Support: Collaborate with technicians to diagnose customer complaints. Assist in identifying and clarifying performance issues, conducting inspections, and facilitating test drives to better understand the symptoms described by customers.
- Parts and Supplies Management: Assist in ordering necessary parts and supplies for automotive repairs. Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of required materials.
- Quality Control: Assess the quality standards of repaired parts and services, ensuring that work meets established benchmarks. Maintain a high level of attention to detail in all service-related activities.
- Record Maintenance: Keep accurate and organized service records, recording customer complaints, planned corrective actions, and completed repairs. Enter repair orders into the service database system promptly.
- Estimate Development: Develop detailed repair estimates by calculating materials, supplies, and labor costs. Clearly communicate estimates to customers, obtaining approval signatures before proceeding with repairs.
- Customer Satisfaction: Maintain customer rapport by explaining estimates, providing updates on repair progress, and addressing any questions or concerns promptly. Obtain customer approval for estimates and coordinate additional services as needed, including arranging towing and temporary transportation.
- Professional Development: Stay updated on automotive industry trends and advancements by actively participating in educational opportunities and reading manufacturers' publications.
- Other Duties: Undertake additional responsibilities and tasks as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the team.

Salary: $50,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
Day Range: Weekend availability
Shift: 8-hour shift
Location: In-person, Beech Island, SC 29842 (Relocation/Commute required)
