This is a 25-hour per week position.Lab Assistant will assist the Automotive Service Instructor in the programs with lab classes and live work projects. Responsible for live work coordination. Write live work orders, keep accurate records and correspond with college Business Office.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
DUTIES: Assists and participates in the training of automotive service students.Responsible for scheduling live work through the work order system.Responsible for the tool room and toolboxes with check out/in of tools.Assists with maintaining facilities consistent with a professional shop environment.Adhere to college policy concerning Live Work to ensure that work order requirements are followed.Assists the instructor in the lab as needed.Complies with all policies of the Alabama Community College System and the College.Performs other duties as assigned. Note: The intent of this description is to provide a representative summary of the essential functions that will be required of positions given this title and should not be construed as a declaration of specific duties and responsibilities of any particular position. PROJECTED STARTING DATE: March 2024 SALARY: Salary Schedule H-25, Rank 14 $19,029 - $24,431, based on previous full-time and related experience, as submitted by the candidate in the application packet, subject to verification upon hire.
