• At least two years experience as a technician.
• Highschool Diploma required
• A college/vocational degree or certification in Automotive Repair (preferred, but not required)
• General mechanical skills.
• Ability to multitask.
• Valid driver's license and a good driving record

• Ability to understand and learn the industrys codes, rules and regulations.
• Ability to effectively communicate, in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Must have sufficient math skills to be able to calculate material requirements for basic mechanical work and understand vehicle layouts.
• Have the general mechanical skills and common sense necessary to solve abnormal situations that may arise on the job.
• Ability to learn to diagnose engine or other equipment failures and make the necessary repairs.
• Ability to learn to install, service, and repair all types of vehicle components.
• Ability to learn to read manufacturer provided technical material.
• Must have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must have the ability to work with the Service Advisor to organize the workload to make the best use of time and materials. This includes the ability to handle the pressures of deadlines and customer demands.
