Matt Bowers Hyundai is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Automotive Title Clerk to join our accounting team.

This position is critical to dealership operations. We are looking for someone who understands title processing thoroughly, can manage multiple transactions efficiently, and ensures every deal is handled accurately and in compliance with Louisiana regulations.

The Title Clerk processes all vehicle deals, verifies costs for the accounting department (including reconditioning and add-ons), and ensures the proper legal transfer of documents through the Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles.

Process all new and used vehicles for registration in Louisiana and other applicable states
Prepare tax and title documents accurately and timely
Submit all transfer documents to the Department of Motor Vehicles
Verify funds collection and lien payoffs prior to title processing
Ensure accuracy and completeness of all documentation
Prepare payoff checks for trade-ins and dealer trades
Maintain tracking system for out-of-state titles
Monitor and report outstanding title work to management
Process vehicle warranties and extended service contracts
Post vehicle sales and purchases accurately
Assist with annual dealer tag renewals
Stay current on Louisiana title laws and regulatory updates
Cross-train team members on title procedures
Maintain professional appearance and organized workspace

Prior automotive title clerk experience required
Strong knowledge of Louisiana OMV procedures
Experience with dealership management systems
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong mathematical and reconciliation skills
Ability to manage deadlines and multiple transactions
Excellent communication skills
Valid driver's license
